Molly has been lucky enough to receive all 5 wellie wishers for Christmas from Santa and from her aunts and uncles! I figured now that she’s 5 and she does have some dolls it would be the perfect time to bring her to the Boston Store and to have a lunch celebration at the bistro.
The bistro was our first stop. We headed up to the 2nd floor to check in for our reservation. The staff was amazing from the hostess to the chef! Our waitress was so fab and really knew how to handle kids. She even brought over the Logan doll for my son to have a friend! Every little detail was so perfect. The napkin holders are hair ties that you get to take home, they gave the dolls some tiny cups and we got to take those home, and she brought over a birthday crown for Molly and for each of her dolls. Since Molly didn’t know we were going i hid two of her dolls in my sons diaper bag. It was so much fun! The food was surprisingly really good too. Everyone got to pick an appetizer and an entree, and then they brought out a birthday cake and sang to her! They served it to us with ice cream and packed the rest up to take home. Wait it doesn’t stop there!!... Molly received a goody bag with doll clothes, a want, and an activity book she was ecstatic! It was a five star service and we were blown away! Now i know what you’re thinking “that must be so expensive!” And no it really wasn’t we got the birthday package which was $30 for the birthday girl and $20 for the rest of us. Our bill only came to $108 including tax and that was for 5 people. I personally think that was a great deal!
Once we wrapped up eating Molly couldn’t contain herself and needed to rush back down and look at everything. She went right for the WellieWishers and all of a sudden her eyes met with the BittyBaby section. She could care less about everything else she just wanted to have a bitty baby. They had some out to play with and a little area with a cradle, washer dryer, iron etc. and she could have played there for hours. We went there wanting Luciana (girl of the year) and we left with a BittyBaby and all her accessories. We also caved and she got a few wellie wishers items as well. All the items she got that day were birthday gifts from myself, her grandmother, and her godmother.
Overall we had an amazing time and can’t wait to go back over summer break! I would really suggest the bistro. Even if your child doesn’t have a doll they will lend you one for the meal. They even put them in these cute high chairs that hook to the table. It’s really great! If you’re like me and are uncertain of the investment in the larger doll look into the wellie wishers and bitty babies. Yes for a doll they could still be considered pricey but they are almost half the price of the larger dolls and it gives them a chance to learn how to take care of and play with them and earn a bigger doll in the future. I use it as a lesson for Molly. If she can take care of these then she will be allowed to pick out Luciana or whoever she wants. She just happened to choose a BittyBaby lol
- Be sure to sign up for the rewards! You get points for every dollar you spend and then you get gift certificate emailed to you once you’ve reached a certain amount of points. It’s so great and the customer service is one of the best (aside from Disney) top-notch services we have ever received!
We did film some of our day at the store and a haul of everything she got and you can check that out on her channel ItsMollyDollysWorld on YouTube
Hope you enjoyed our experience at the American girl doll store! We went to the Boston (Natick, Ma) location and I’m sure all locations vary in menu items so be sure to check out their website where you can also make all your reservations online!
