Blogmas Day 4: Favorite Holiday Pins

ahhh Pinterest!!  I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I’ve been sucked into, what i like to call, “ the black hole of Pinterest”!  All the different ideas for EVERYTHING just captivated me haha!   I thought I’d share some of my favorite holiday pins that i have tried in the past! First up! These cute reindeer hot chocolate mixes!  These make a great gift for teachers and neighbors.  I gifted this to our mailman one year!  Don’t forget about your mailmen and women! They do their best to deliver all our xmas mail and packages, rain, snow, or shine! 😉 Click here to see the cute reindeer idea!   This next one I love because it was actually gifted to me! I’m considering using this idea for teacher gifts for Molly’s PreK and Dance teachers   A cute whisk, which you could find at the dollar tree and some Hershey kisses saying “I whisk you a merry Kissmas”. Blogmas day 3: Popsicle Stick Ornaments

Since becoming a mom, arts and crafts has to be my favorite activity to do with my kids.   Well, let’s face it, it was a favorite past time of mine for my entire life haha!    Today I’m going to show you a few super simple and preschooler friendly Popsicle stick ornaments. You don’t even need that many materials, just some paint, glue, and of course, popsicle sticks!  First up is a Rudolph the red nose reindeer ornament.   You need 3 popsicle sticks (paint them brown) a red Pom Pom (but you could use paint or marker!) pipe cleaners, and googly eyes (you could use paint here too, use what you have!)  After you’ve paint your sticks brown and they’ve dried, glue them together in a triangle. Point facing down. Glue your red pompom and eyes, then just add your pipe cleaners to the top to resemble antlers.   It’s that easy!   All that’s left to do is add some ribbon or a hook and hang it on the tree!    We gifted these to my mom for Christmas so, i wrapped them nicely in

Blogmas Day 2: Holiday Traditions

One of the many things about the holidays that warms my heart is all of the traditions     Everyone seems to have some sort of holiday tradition.  It could be The Elf on the Shelf, opening one special present on Christmas Eve, or the feast of the seven fishes.     As a child, I enjoyed Christmas Eve most. We always got to open one gift and it was usually from one of my moms co-workers. Then we would go to church and get ready for the Christmas pageant.  I always wanted to be Mary, but was too shy to volunteer.  Yes, that means I am a well seasoned sheep and angel! Haha.  I really look forward to my kids being in the pagent some day.     Now that I have my own little family, I love making our own traditions. The one we look forward to the most is advent calendars.   Yep! You read that right! It’s not the silly little elf some of you have grown to love!       If you  aren’t familiar with an advent calendar, it’s a calendar that counts down the days til Christmas. There are typic

Blogmas and Banana Bread

Now that my blog has officially launched I’ve decided to kick off with Blogmas!  You can expect a post from me every day til Christmas. Yay!   My favorite thing about the holidays is baking.  What better way to start blogmas than with a recipe? Mmhmm that’s what i thought!  One of my most requested recipes is Banana Bread.  My recipe is super simple and you only need one bowl! No sifting either!   What i love about this recipe is that you can customize it.   You can add whatever you like to snazz it up.  Maybe you like chocolate chips, walnuts, or even raisins.  The possibilities are pretty much endless!  Let me know if you try my recipe. I’d love to hear how you changed it up for your tastebuds. The easiest banana bread recipe (makes one loaf or 12 muffins)  Ingredients:  3 ripe and brown bananas  1/3 cup of melted butter  1/2 cup -1 cup of sugar (depends on how sweet you want it- i usually do 1/2 but if my bananas aren’t that brown I’ll used a full cup)  1ts
